Alex Neumann is a Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award winning sound designer based in New York City. Alex’s experience on Broadway and background as a classical violist inform his approach to creativity and problem-solving in theatre and the sound arts.

His work extends from large-scale musicals and live events, to sound system design and entertainment network programming and implementation.

Alex’s training as a musician informs his collaboration with directors, composers, and music directors, contributing to a unified vision for the sonic identity of a production. As comfortable with classical naturalism as with bombastic new shows, Alex brings a fluency to his work that translates beyond the page into a nuanced aural experience.
